    1854-D Gold Coin NGC AU-55
    Yellow-gold surfaces exhibit free flowing strong remnant luster. On an issue that is notorious for poor strikes, this example holds it's own. Marks are few and minor rather than extensive which is often the case. A first year example and the only 'Princess' struck at the Dahlonega Mint. Just 1,120 pieces were produced and it is estimated only about 300 still exist. A lofty grade for the issue as only 9 pieces have graded mint state at NGC.
