Very rare found early model Round Badge "Zim-Gar" of Brooklyn, New York - USA model drum.
Manufactured & built in Japan.
Gorgeous vintage 1960 superior quality crafted.
5.5X14
size snare drum.
Appearance similar to same era G R E T S C H/ Slingerland USA snare drums made of the time.
All original drum features:
1) Poplar 3 ply wood shell with solid rerings top & bottom.
Nice original bearing edges & snare beds.
"blue sparkle" pearl wrap finish outside,
having lovely clean polished shine.
(no seam lift, seperation, cracking, chips, or scratching found).
With clean natural wood finish inside.
1) "Zim-Gar" - Brooklyn, N.Y. - Made in Japan - blue & brass metal round badge.
1) air-hole with grommet in center badge.
6) Slingerland Streamline type double tension heavy cast lugs.
12) Orig. early type steel lug rods & washers.
1) Die-Cast chrome heavy-duty top batter counter hoop.
1) Die-Cast chrome heavy-duty bottom snare counter hoop.
(hoops are solid, clean shined, with some fine light pitting).
1) 3-Point lever-action snare tension strainer release throw off.
1) Snare butt plate.
1) Orig. snappy steel snare 16 wires set.
